Coming out is a personal decision. You are never obligated to "come out" to anyone. Until the heteronormative and cisnormative narratives end, and no one has to declare their identity, we stand and support you - simply existing as your perfectly imperfect self or having a huge coming out party. Do what feels right to you!

We at Alphabet Soup fully acknowledge everyone's decision and respect their journey. Coming out can be scary. It can also be affirming, empowering, and beautiful. You do not have to know everything about your identity to share it with those you trust. You also do not owe your identity or an explanation of it to anyone.
